Using Neaby
Neaby provides technology that helps clients find local providers and helps providers manage profiles, services, availability, bookings, custom quotes, payments, and reviews.
Providers are independent businesses or individuals. Neaby is not the employer of providers and does not itself perform the services listed in the app.
Eligibility and account responsibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Neaby.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account.
- You must provide accurate profile, contact, booking, payment, and provider information.
- Do not create misleading profiles, impersonate another person, or use Neaby for unlawful, unsafe, emergency, or prohibited services.
Bookings and custom quotes
- A client may book listed services or send a custom quote request with details, preferred timing, and optional images.
- A provider may accept, reject, quote, reschedule, or cancel according to the in-app flow.
- Booking times, prices, materials, duration, and service details should be checked before accepting or paying.
- Accepted-job cancellations are recorded for safety, trust, and account-quality review.
Payments
Where a provider accepts card payments, Neaby uses Stripe to process the payment and manage connected provider payouts. Where a provider accepts cash, the client pays the provider directly in person and Neaby may record provider commission due on completed cash bookings.
Platform commission, provider payout, materials, tips, and refunds are calculated according to the booking or quote flow shown in the app.
Provider responsibilities
- Providers are responsible for accurate service descriptions, prices, categories, availability, travel radius, portfolio images, and completion evidence.
- Providers must hold any licences, insurance, qualifications, permissions, or legal rights required for the services they offer.
- Providers must not ask clients to move Neaby-originated bookings off-platform to avoid marketplace rules, safety checks, payment records, or commission.
- Providers are responsible for tax, accounting, and cash-booking commission obligations generated by their work.
Client responsibilities
- Clients must provide accurate service needs, location details, timing, access information, and contact information.
- Clients should not request illegal, unsafe, abusive, discriminatory, or emergency services.
- Clients are responsible for reviewing provider details, quotes, payment method, cancellation status, and completion confirmation before releasing payment.
Content and reviews
Profiles, portfolio images, custom request images, completion evidence, reviews, and messages must be accurate, lawful, respectful, and relevant. We may remove or restrict content that is unsafe, misleading, abusive, private, infringing, or attempts to bypass the marketplace.
Safety and disputes
Neaby may review cancellations, reports, payment anomalies, account activity, and moderation records to protect users and the marketplace. For urgent danger or emergencies, contact local emergency services first, then contact Neaby support when safe.
Suspension or termination
We may restrict, suspend, or close accounts, listings, payments, or marketplace access where we believe there is fraud, safety risk, non-payment, abuse, policy breach, legal risk, or platform misuse.
Liability
Neaby is provided on an as-available basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Neaby is not responsible for a provider's work quality, delays, omissions, property damage, cash collection, tax treatment, or offline conduct. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited by law.
